A protein-rich breakfast with eggs, curd cheese, or legumes keeps you full longer, reduces cravings for sugar later in the day – and may even help improve concentration. Studies show that proteins in the morning, among other things, suppress the release of the hunger hormone ghrelin. Ideas for a protein-rich breakfast: eggs, cottage cheese, salmon, avocado, whole grain bread with hummus, Greek yogurt, skyr, or overnight oats with nuts and berries.
